LondonWaste provides sustainable waste management services across London and the South East. Operating from their 40-acre EcoPark in Edmonton, the company also maintains a number of other London sites which offer safe and secure alternatives to landfill. The Company recycles materials, composts organic waste and recovers energy from domestic waste—enough to power 72,000 homes throughout the year. It is in the vanguard of evolving UK attitudes towards our domestic waste. David Sargent, Managing Director, has championed the evolution of the Company’s philosophy from waste management to resource management and the development of closer links with the communities it serves.
As part of our brief, we devised the new London Waste logotype, and evolved a kit of parts which included colour coding and symbols. Each part could adapt to the differing methods of resource management the Company undertakes: Recycling; Energy from Waste, Handling Medical Waste and the activities at the EcoPark. Rolling out the kit, we redesigned the EcoPark signage system, suggested a new and distinctive vehicle livery (the four LondonWaste symbols onto raw, unpainted metal) publicity materials and stationery and exhibition stands and banners.
