The Total Dog Manual forms part of Weldon Owen’s “Total Manuals” series. The books are characterized by their absence of page numbering, instead using Tip Numbers to convey the content, and to inform how the books are laid out. They feature high quality photography and employ a very particular information graphics illustration style. At production stage the pages are given rounded die-cut corners and covers are often distinguished with foilblocking, debossing, spot UV lamination and metal corner protectors, elevating the look and feel of the series identity and making them especially distinctive on the shelves. The books are published primarily in the United States.
