On the back of our display work with Tyra Till on the Armoury and outdoor lecterns in 2013, Tamworth Castle was successful in gaining Lottery funding to bring the existing information panels into line with the new look. Again working with consultant Tyra Till, the latest panels have been orientated around family visitors. Our first display design at the Castle included heavy duty lecterns installed in the public grounds, with large panels in the courtyard and the redeveloped Armoury. Each lectern tells a specific story about the topography and history of the Castle, and most feature tactile engraved metal plates, from which rubbings can be taken.
